Q: What inspired EAUSO VERT?
A: Our scents are "A series of moments blended and bottled", inspired by experiences in life, built around a mood or a feeling, taking inspiration from travel, movies and music. It's the idea that fragrance can be both glimmering and unfamiliar, yet incredibly comforting and nostalgic. 

Q: What makes EAUSO VERT different?
A: EAUSO VERT is a sustainable luxury fragrance brand, formulated with sustainably-sourced and upcycled ingredients. We provide detail on ingredient transparency as well as social and environmental impact, from seed to bottle. We fuse artisanal craftsmanship with green chemistry practices to create honest and high-quality scents for the next generation of fragrance lovers. 

Q: What kind of products do you offer?
A: We offer eau de parfum fine fragrances.

PRODUCT & PACKAGING

Q: What are "safe synthetics" and why do you use them?
A: Synthetic scents replicate natural accords. We use a blend of raw naturals and safe synthetics in our fragrances. The safe synthetics that we use in our formulas have been certified as safe for use in fragrance by IFRA (International Fragrance Association) and the Credo Clean Standard, which is the strictest standard in retail. We will use safe synthetics when the natural ingredient is either considered an allergen to the skin or if there is no sustainable means to harvest the natural, raw ingredient. 

Q: Are your products sustainable?
A: Yes. We are thoughtful about sustainability across our formulation, packaging, and supply chain. Our fragrance partners are pioneers in bringing a circular design approach to the world of scent creation. They begin by designing with the planet in mind from the earliest stages of the research and development process, assessing the material health of each ingredient against standards that exceed regulatory requirements. Together we ensure that raw materials are renewable or repurposed, all while sourcing in an environmentally and socially responsible way.

We create products with consumer benefits and health applications in mind, manufacturing them in ways that use renewable energy and minimal natural resources, generating zero waste where possible. Finally, after delivering positive outcomes, our ingredients are designed to biodegrade back into the ecosystem, completing the biological cycle of a circular economy.

In our use of upcycled ingredients, we're repurposing waste and transforming it into a beautiful scent ingredient - a new and clean approach to fragrance. Upcycled materials are also known to produce a more complex smell than typical perfume oils, creating a deeper and more interesting, intense profile.

Our commitment to responsible sourcing means we strive to improve the quality of life in farming communities, helping to make them more stable, resilient and prosperous. Our fragrance house annually re-evaluates which efforts and investments will create the most value and how we can partner to continue to reach more people. Our supplier partnerships support:

  • Vertical Integration - Taking ownership over the supply chain from seed to bottle, guaranteeing full traceability of ingredients as well as integrated R&D to support ongoing innovations from the source.
  • Best-in-class Agricultural Practices - Replacing harmful farming practices and ensuring efficient use of water and energy.
  • Creation of Positive Eco-system for Farmers and Families - ​​Developed through our long term commitment to improve farmers’ working and living conditions through mechanization, education and give-back programs. Our suppliers partner with over 2,400 farmers as direct beneficiaries to the ingredients sourced within our formulas. 

Q: Where can I find the ingredients for each fragrance?
A: A full list of ingredients can be found on each fragrance product page, under a drop-down bar named "Ingredient List". 

Q: How long do your scents last?
A: Our fragrances are designed to be long-lasting. Our perfumer develops our scents with ingredients to increase the body of a fragrance and its staying power. On average our fragrances will last between 4-6 hours

Q: How can I maximize the longevity of my scent?
A: Fragrance will typically last longer on well moisturized skin, and if applied to the pulse points (do not rub the wrists after spraying.) Fragrance can also be spritzed on the hair to help the fragrance linger longer. 

Q: How should I store my fragrance?
A: Fragrance should be kept in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, and without any extreme changes in temperature. Do not store your fragrance in the bathroom or any other damp areas.

Q: What is the shelf life of each fragrance?
A:  3-5 years is the average shelf-life of fragrance. 

Q: Why is SINTRA more expensive than your other scents?
A: SINTRA contains the highest percentage of oils within the fragrance, and therefore is more expensive to develop. 

Q: Which of your fragrances contain upcycled ingredients?
A: Upcycled ingredients found in our fragrances:

Q: Are your products vegan?
A: Absolutely. Our products are always vegan and made without any animal byproducts. 

Q: Are your products cruelty-free?
A:  Yes, our products are cruelty-free and certified by Leaping Bunny. 

Q: What kind of alcohol do you use?
A: We use organic alcohol made from sugarcane. This is a non-GMO and pesticide-free alternative to corn-based alcohols often used in fragrance. 

Q: Are your bottles fully recyclable?
A: Our glass is 100% recyclable if the pump is removed before recycling.

There is currently no option of a fully recyclable, sustainable fragrance pump, however we have opted for a push-pump (crimpless), which requires the professional removal of the pump from the glass bottle prior to recycling and disposing of the pump. While there is an option of a screw-on pump that allows for easier separation, we decided against it, as it could potentially separate from the bottle upon transportation, causing leakage of the flammable liquid. 

Until we are able to offer a better solution, we encourage proper disposal through a recycling program. We offer a pre-paid return label to ship your bottle back to us, to ensure the bottle is properly disassembled and recycled. We will share a 10% discount code to use towards your next order for helping us to dispose of our components until we are able to offer a better recycling solution. Please email info@eauso.com with "RECYCLE REQUEST" in the subject line. 

We are aware of local retailers that offer in-house recycling options as well. 

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Q: What payment forms do you accept? 
A: We accept all major forms of debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), and PayPal.

Q: Do you accept gift cards? 
A: Only EAUSO VERT gift cards will be accepted at this time.

Q: What if I need to change or cancel my order?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot modify or cancel an order once it's placed. If you made a mistake in the name or shipping address, please notify us immediately by sending an email to info@eauso.com and we will try to update the information.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: At this time we only ship within the United States. 

Q: What's the status of my order?
A: Once your order ships, look out for a confirmation email with tracking information. You can always check the status of your order by logging into your account. If you don’t receive your shipping confirmation within 3 business days of placing your order, please reach out to us at info@eauso.com

Q: When will my item ship?
A: EAUSO VERT develops each of its fragrances in small batches so you can expect orders to be processed within 3 to 5 business days. 

Once your order has been completed and transferred to a carrier, you will automatically receive an email with your tracking number which can be used to track your order directly online, or you can do so by logging into your account. Domestic orders are generally shipped by USPS or UPS. In-transit time depends on the shipping destination and can take anywhere from 2-7 business days after they ship. Please note, we do not ship on weekends or holidays.

Q: What if my package is lost?
A: Please email us at info@eauso.com. If your package is lost in transit, we will do everything we can to assist you in locating the package. However, we are not responsible for packages once proof of delivery is generated.

Q: What if my items arrived damaged and/or defective?
A: Please email us at info@eauso.com with an image of the damaged and/or defective item. We will send a replacement item right away. 

Q: Do you offer promo codes?
A: We will offer promo codes during special events. If you have a valid code, you can enter it at checkout to redeem.

EXCHANGES

Q: What is your return policy?
A: We want you to be happy with your products and will work with you to find the best solution if you wish to make a return. For full return details, see our Shipping/Return Policy

Q: Can I make an exchange?
A: Unfortunately at this time we cannot offer product replacement or exchanges unless the wrong product was shipped or an item arrives damaged.

Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: We will issue a refund for valid requests within 7 business days once the product arrives back at our warehouse. Refunds are issued back to the payment method used to place the order. Your financial institution may take up to 10 business days to post the refund to your account. Please note that you will be responsible for the original shipping, return costs and taxes incurred on the package.
